Farnborough based scientific inventory temperature monitoring specialists, Tutela, has joined the European, Middle Eastern and African Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking.

The ESBB is a society for individuals and organisations involved in the collection and storage of biological materials from all species. The society is focussed on Europe, the Middle East and Africa with a stated mission to advance the field of Biobanking in support of research relating to healthcare, education and the environment.

Aaron Ball joins Tutela as a service technician at a time when the company is rapidly growing. Aaron will be field based, helping the installation engineers by calibrating and servicing the Tutela products across the UK. He will also help with installation of  Tutela Wireless Monitoring Systems on the larger sites.

Aaron Ball joins Tutela monitoring systemsAaron comes to Tutela having previously worked for a high precision, ISO:9001 Company, assembling a range of DC motors and stepper motor drivers, and he has recently completed an HNC in electronic engineering. Tutela Medical hosted a conference stand at the NHS Quality Assurance and Technical Services Symposium on the 16th and 17th September 2014 at Chesford Grande Hotel in Kenilworth.

Represented by Sally Towle (National Sales Manager) and Bradley Bevan (Technical Sales Representative), the Tutela stand was continuously busy attracting a range of Medical QA professionals. Sally and Bradley were pleased with the opportunity to meet delegates to discuss the potential Tutela Monitoring systems within their facilities, and also to catch up with the wealth of existing Tutela Medical customers who attended.

The overall objective of the Brain Endowment Bank is to support basic and clinical research activities by providing a systematic method for obtaining detailed pre-mortem clinical information, developing procedures for optimizing brain autopsies, cryopreserving neuropathological specimens, and obtaining neuropathological diagnoses after death.

Tutela Monitoring Systems apply for UKAS ISO 17025 Accreditation

Tutela Monitoring Systems has launched a project to become UKAS ISO 17025 accredited in early 2016

This important quality project will involve an audit of the quality standards and capabilities of the Tutela Monitoring System and is expected to be complete within 3 months.

ISO 17025 is the single most important standard for calibration and testing laboratories around the world. Accreditation to ISO17025 means that a facility has demonstrated that they are technically competent and consistently able to produce precise and accurate test and/or calibration data.

As part of accreditation, a laboratory’s quality management system is thoroughly evaluated on a regular basis to ensure continued technical competence and compliance with ISO 17025.
